Foreseeing a major future in nanotechnology, China has taken the initiative in setting up The National Nanotechnology Standardization Committee to oversea the development of the industry.
Nanotechnology is used to manipulate atoms and molecules to the extent of packing more numbers in lesser space.
Currently, nanotech is applied in textiles field for making clothes and fabrics stain free or more resistant to wear and tear.
Aspiring to find a place on the global nanotech map, China has already released seven Nanotech standards since 2001, claiming that they were the world's first batch of national standards.
The news of the establishment of The National Nanotechnology Standardization Committee has been welcomed by the industries, in general.
