In order to promote growth of local textile enterprises and associations, the Chinese Textile Industry Association signed development agreements with 130 regional industrial groups in the first half of 2007.
This move is also aimed at increasing regional competition and industry upgradation. This is the second time that the association has inked such arrangements. Such pacts were first signed in 2002.
The development agreements aim to set up and perfect the public service system of innovation platform, carry out CSC9000T social responsibility system, jointly promote energy source saving, protect the environment and together set up an information platform.
This development agreement not only defines the task, but also spells out the overall work of Chinese Textile Industry Association, the local governments and local textile enterprises.
