The Ministry of Trade (MoT) proposes to continue the automatic visa granting system for all categories of garment exports till the first half, 2006.
To enhance export earnings and to provide more opportunity to businesses to access quotas and check industry speculation, the Ministry has introduced mid-year, automatic visa-granting system.
The Ministry said in Hanoi it would carry out the quota adjustment-allocation until the automatic visa-given exporters reaches 70 percent of their quotas for all categories.
Garment exporters, who sign big deals for guaranteed funds would also be granted quotas.
Exporters welcomed this decision as profitable to the country's garment sector.
