London fashion is highly appreciative although New Zealand fashion is quite edgy with beautiful wools and fabrics but it was hard to afford the same high quality of things.
It's very cold in New Zealand but people wear thin acrylic jumpers although New Zealand has authentic real wool.
Dresses from London designers like Louella are quite similar in style to Karen Walker.
Marc Jacobs's flat shoes and cute little jackets are likeable and Emma Cook and Mulberry has really beautiful knitwear.
On the high street the brands like Zara and obviously Top Shop and French Connection are omnipresent.
In Britain, the labelled branded garment is very important to be seen in.
New Zealand stuff is beautiful but is not branded.
The NomD trousers and a Karen Walker coat do always get comments on wearing it as branding is so big in UK unlike in New Zealand.
In England it does seem to be more throwaway fashion but in New Zealand all dresses are in a more classic way- wearing pieces that don't tend to go out of fashion.
The thing that is lacking in New Zealand is footwear, as a whole lot of it is made in China.
