Babyville Boutique's diaper campaign to reduce landfill

Babyville Boutique, the South Carolina-based cloth diaper and accessory specialist, has started an eco-friendly campaign to support the use of reusable cloth diapers in order to reduce the number of landfills.

Ahead of the Earth day, the clothier has urged the parents to partake in the Great Cloth Diaper Challenge, which aims to encourage the traditional environment-friendly cotton diapers usage among everybody.

Aimed to set a Guinness world record for the most reusable cloth diapers changed, the event, which would further help in reducing the number of diapers going to landfills by 49,000,000 in one day, will take place on April 20, 2013.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, every year, around 20 billion disposable diapers are being dumped, which ultimately accounts for over 3.5 million tons of additional waste.

On the other hand, fabric diapers are not only eco-friendly and economical but are also gel free and comfortable for the babies.
