Crystal International Group Limited (CIGL), a global leader in the apparel manufacturing, has announced that the group has placed employees’ health and safety as the first priority issue in these unprecedented times. Crystal’s factories in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have implemented strict measures to control the epidemic situation.

The factories took stringent disinfection measures and regular cleaning in all areas. Anti-epidemic facilities, including instant hand sanitisers and covered bins for discarded masks were installed in all factories. Besides, vehicles are being sprayed by disinfectant upon entry.

Stern temperature check of employees and visitors has also been imposed. All employees are required to measure temperature by using handheld thermometers upon entry. Some factories have adopted advanced 5G infrared device for temperature measurement which greatly enhanced the efficiency of entry.

The factories have stocked and provided masks to their employees. Medical glasses and medical gloves have been provided to security guards, medical staff and employees who were in need.

Quarantine zones and isolation areas have been arranged. Bigger rooms were set up as waiting areas for employees who needed to be monitored, further checked or interviewed for their travel and meeting history. Separate quarantine rooms were also set up to quarantine the suspected cases of Covid-19 symptoms waiting to be sent to the hospital for further check-up.

Dining tables have been equipped with partition boards with precaution guidelines affixed on it. To raise workers’ awareness of precautionary measures and to introduce the knowledge of preventing the epidemic, different promotional materials including educational posters, leaflets and promotional videos were placed around the factory especially the public areas.
