Indian company GHCL among best workplaces in chemical industry

GHCL Limited, a well-diversified group with presence in chemicals, textiles and consumer products segments, has been certified among the 'Best workplaces in the Chemicals Industry 2021'.

Based on validated employee feedback gathered using Great Place to Work’s rigorous, data-driven methodology, the certification confirmed that employees of GHCL believe that building a high-trust company culture and creating a positive work environment for all has helped GHCL navigate the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“GHCL is a workplace with a caring culture and strong values that motivate and enhance experience for the stakeholders, inspiring them to be a part of our growth story. Our ability to celebrate our differences and diversity has helped ensure a culture of trust, respect, teamwork and ownership. This we believe, has resulted in a creating a comfortable and healthy place of work that attracts the best talent, retains performers and improves the overall productivity and success of the business,” RS Jalan, MD, GHCL, said.

“Being certified as a great place to work for the fifth year in a row was in itself a commendable achievement for team GHCL. And now being recognised as one of the great workplaces in the chemicals industry just goes on to reiterate our commitment towards creating a workplace that is nurturing and collaborative. A Great Place to Work certification is a testimony to our ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” said Biswarup Goswami, CHRO, GHCL.

The Great Place to Work institute, in its study laid emphasis on the voice of the employees. The list of the best workplaces has been arrived at by assigning two-third weightage to the anonymous survey conducted amongst the employees and the remaining one-third weightage to the strength of people practices implemented across the organisation, measured through responses to a structured questionnaire submitted by the organisation.
