Bed Bath & Beyond customers required to wear mask in store

Bed Bath & Beyond, a US-based omnichannel retailer, has announced that the company is joining with a number of other leading retailers in requiring customers to wear masks or face coverings when they shop at the store. The measures will take effect beginning July 24, to allow company with time to communicate the change to their customers.

The company will also need the time to train its team as it implements the new protocols as part of comprehensive store safety plan. It will help ensure consistent safety standards for the customers and the people in the approximately 1,500 stores that Bed Bath & Beyond operates across North America, including Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuy Baby, Christmas Tree Shops, Harmon Face Values and Cost Plus World Market.

The company has prioritised the health and safety of its associate team, customers and communities throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In line with the latest guidance from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and others, company believes this simple step will help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, allowing it to further safeguard its team and allow the customers to continue to shop with confidence. In addition, the company will also continue to employ a number of safety measures.

Recognising that some people cannot wear masks for health reasons, and so its associate teams will be trained to support customers in these exceptional circumstances. In addition, Bed Bath & Beyond will continue to provide a number of alternative options for customers to shop with us, including contactless Curbside Pickup or home delivery, through our e-commerce platforms.
