Marchi-Burgo acquires two calenders from Krefeld enterprise

“We decided in favor of the Mat-On-Line calender because, besides its economics, it provides the best opportunity for thickness cross profiling. Thanks to the HV technology no further external profiling device is needed. In such way we can work much more efficiently and economically.

Apart from that, experience proves that Küsters calenders are reliable and safe to operate, they need low maintenance, and they come with a profiling quality which conventional rolls cannot offer”, states project manger Marcello Pinto from Burgo Mantova.

Currently the entire Marchi-Burgo Group manufactures approximately 3,230,000 tons of paper per year. As one of the leading manufacturers of graphic papers in the South European market the Marchi-Burgo Group has for years been banking on Andritz Küsters. Over 50 Swimming Rolls in the group are proof that the S-Roll technology guarantees an increase in cost effectiveness, efficiency and production.

ANDRITZ KÜSTERS is a joint venture between ANDRITZ AG (60 per cent) and JAGENBERG AG (40 per cent) based in Krefeld. The enterprise encompasses the nonwoven and paper divisions of the former Eduard Küsters Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG and can make use of all the products, patents and brand rights covered by these divisions. The focus of business activity is the development and implementation of technologies and facilities for the production and processing of nonwovens, board and paper.
