Datatex announces 2006 preliminary results and launches the ITMA project 2006 datatex results will present a positive bottom line, while funding significant R&D costs which are over 15% of the total company revenue.

The most interesting markets in 2006 have been China and India, where the new sales have given a good contribution to the software revenue and have consolidated the position of the datatex solution in those markets. China is currently the 3rd market for datatex, just behind USA and Italy.

Datatex TIS, the US subsidiary, has continue to grow at a slightly reduced pace. The datatex results in Europe reflect the difficult situation of the European textile industry. However the end-of-the year sales show a recovering trend, not impacting the overall 2006 results but strong enough to support a growth forecasted for 2007.

For what concern the datatex line-of-business, two digit growth come from the planning and scheduling tools and from the ADC systems (Automated Data Collection): CATS, to support fabric inspection, and CAMS, to support shop-floor data collection.

Ronnie Hagin, datatex vice president Marketing and Sales, presenting these data told the datatex associates “2007 is the ITMA year and as always this event will be a pillar for our sales. Moreover the slogan of ITMA '07 is The place for innovation, making it the ideal stage to present and demonstrate our innovative solutions”.

The workstations at the ITMA stand willdemonstrate that datatex solutions mean “Innovation to deliver tangible business value.” In fact the datatex newly developed products mean leading edge solutions for what concern the Information Technology and contain hundreds of years expertise in textile industry best practices. Therefore the products presented at ITMA '07, can support the textile and apparel entrepreneurs in any innovation for their company, product or organization.
