Denim Première Vision in London sees 17% more visitors

The Denim Première Vision event, which was held from December 5-6, 2018 in London, was a major success. Nearly 2,344 visitors attended the event – from medium to very high-end fashion brands, designers, luxury players, etc. Attendance was up 17 per cent versus November 2017. Coming from 54 countries, 53 per cent of visitors were from countries outside UK.

The show is now an itinerant event organised by Denim Première Vision in alternating, different European cities with a fashion impact, to provide industry professionals an opportunity to meet new markets while discovering new sources of inspiration.

The huge success of the London event was due to a selective and specialised international offer: developments and innovation from 89 exhibitors selected from among the most creative, high-quality, and innovative companies in the global denim industry. The show had exclusive, forward-looking fashion information, quality discussions and content concerning the sector’s driving issues, said a press report from the event.

Following on the warm and positive signals sent by the London market, Denim Première Vision has announced the dates and locations of its 2019 events. The show will be held from May 28-29, 2019 at Superstudio Piu, Milan and from December 4-5, 2019 at Old Truman Brewery, London.

Milan, the Lombard capital, meets all the criteria the denim industry is looking for. It is the centre of Italian fashion, featuring a wide range of creative brands, from high street to luxury: the majority of brands have their headquarters in the city, and major fashion showrooms are also found here. The city is a historic denim capital that saw the birth of pioneering industry brands, which are among the largest players in the sector. Lastly Milan is an international city, well-structured and inviting for visitors in terms of transportation, hotels, shopping, and culture.

Closely attuned to the market, Denim Première Vision now proposes a new event format going forward in terms of experiences and contents, one exploring the different facets of contemporary denim, to address the needs of denim brands and creative fashion brands developing denim collections, from fashion and luxury brands, to pure jeanswear players, web players and more.
