Kordsa & Arzu Kaprol discuss sustainability in Istanbul
Kordsa, the leader of tire and construction reinforcement technologies and composite technologies, and leading fashion designer, Arzu Kaprol, participated in Sustainable Brands 2018, which was held on April 18 and 19, at Fairmont Quasar, in Istanbul. Kordsa discussed the topic of textile sustainability under the theme ‘Redefining the Good Life’.

Kordsa’s business and market development director and construction business leader, Murat Oguz Arcan participated as a panellist together with Arzu Kaprol in a panel organised as part of Sustainable Brands 2018. The panel topic was ‘Designing the Future with Technology’.

Under the moderation of the journalist and author Demet Cengiz, Murat Oguz Arcan mentioned that Kordsa developed environment-friendly technologies contributing in the sustainable future while reinforcing life and redefining the good life. He underlined how Kordsa, as a technology developer, redesigned mobility with materials they produce.

During two days, various speeches and panels on various topics such as brand strategy, communication, innovation, design, and consumer expectations were held with the participation of leading brands and professionals in their respective industries.

Arcan mentioned that Kordsa developed environment-friendly technologies contributing in the sustainable future while reinforcing life and redefining the good life.

Murat Oguz Arcan said, “The future is going to bring great breakthroughs, transformations and progress, but the future will also bring a great responsibility upon us. If we want to survive in the future, help our children to live a better life, we all have to shoulder responsibility. Decision-makers of the business community and non-governmental organisations have to collaborate to ensure a sustainable future. And ‘to partner with experts’ and to develop technology together with them, that is open innovation, is very important to build a ‘good life’. Smart companies no longer hide their technologies from everyone. They develop, and they open their technology to others, so that another company working in the field would be able to use and improve it. To make a long story short, we can only develop the formula of a better life, as more experts come together, and more companies cooperate”. (GK)
