Germany's biannual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has begun with a display of simplistic collection by Austrian fashion designer Lena Hoschek.
The Austrian designer, who is known for vintage looks of the 1940s and 50s, presented her collection by giving it a simplistic tone attuned to the current financial crisis in several European countries.
Hoschek said that the designs of her creations are more low-key this time, but they may not necessarily be cheaper.
The four-day event, being held in Berlin, gives a chance to upcoming young designers to present their creations and get noticed.
