Dissolving pulp & VSF prices dip last week

In the last week, price of Cotton Linter remained stable at higher level. Price of Cotton linter was firm at RMB 4170/ton. In the last update from market, price was in the range of RMB 4150/ton to RMB 4200/ton. Buying sentiment remained moderate; whereas trading offers were in between RMB 4125/ton to RMB 4200/ton.

Price of dissolving pulp declined sharply in the previous week. Price of dissolving pulp fell in the range of RMB 8650/ton to RMB 8750/ton in Chinese domestic market. Price of imported dissolving Wood Pulp was in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1250/ton.

Pulp Imported from U.S.A, Canada and Spain were in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1290/ton. Counter offers were around US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1185/ton. Pulp imported from Swedish was heard at US$ 1200/ton and pulp imported from Russian was at US$ 1205/ton.

Price of VSF decreased significantly during the week. Producers firmly held their offers around RMB 15700/ton to RMB 15900/ton. Earlier price opened at RMB 16400/ton, but without support of demand fundamentals, trading price went down to RMB 15800/ton.

In Chinese market, offers for imported VSF, hovered in the range of US$ 2.15/kg to US$ 2.25/kg. Market experts believe that price will be range bound around US$ 2.10/kg in near future.
