Thien Nam Spinning JSC, the leading spinning company in Vietnam, has started a new spinning unit to produce 100 percent cotton yarn for both domestic and export markets.
The new spinning unit, set up at a cost of US$ 18 million in the Binh An textile and garment industrial park in Vietnam's Binh Duong province, has 40,000 spindles and will have an annual production capacity of 6,600 tons of yarn, according to Thien Nam.
The new spinning facility, called Duy Nam Spinning, is the fourth spinning plant of Thien Nam. The new yarn manufacturing plant would add to Thien Nam's existing annual production capacity of 25,000 tons of yarn.
Around 80 percent of yarn manufactured at Duy Nam Spinning will be exported.
