Vietnam fashion week to showcase 700 designs

More than 700 creations by 22 fashion designers will be displayed at the three-day Vietnam Fashion Week Fall & Winter, supposedly Vietnam's biggest fashion event that begins on April 27.
Minh Hanh, a leading Vietnamese fashion designer and founder of Vietnam Fashion Week, will be showcasing her new collection highlighting mystery.
Hanh is known for blending traditional designs with contemporary outfits and her new collection would have both colour contrasts and creative cuts.
The top designer has used various materials like wool, fake snakeskin, quilt cotton and cotton net fabric to create her 'dressed to thrill' collection.
Fashion label Chula run by Spanish designer Laura Fontan has been a regular at Vietnam Fashion Week since 2004. This time, the brand will present a 30-model collection for women depicting a story that raises awareness among people about the negative impacts of climate change. The collection is aptly titled 'Go Green'.
Thai Nguyen will showcase creations by three designers – Thu Phuong, Quynh Huong and Nguyen Thi Thu Nga.
Top designers from Viet Thang Garment Company will present their collection made using wool, lace and cotton dyed with latest techniques.
Two designers – Hai Long and The Huy – will debut at the Fashion Week and display men's and women's wear collections that feature hand-made embroidered patterns and simple styles.
New innovations using three-dimensional technology will be presented by designers like Minh Minh, Hung Viet, Mai Tram and Vu Viet Ha.
Miss Vietnam World Diem Huong and Miss Vietnam Ngoc Han are likely to walk on the ramp at the fashion event.
