Shingora Textiles launches summer accessories collection

Ludhiana, Punjab-based Shingora Textiles, the single biggest manufacturer and exporter of woolen scarves, shawls and throws from India, has launched its first summer accessories collection in the Indian retail market this year.

“Designed with young, cool and vibrant styling, the collection is graceful and sophisticated and vivaciously styled to be mixed and matched to perfection,” Mr. Amit Jain, Director and President of Shingora Textiles Limited, told fibre2fashion.

Informing further about the collection, he says, “Strong colour statement is the trend this season and Shingora has very carefully used white and pastels with strong accent colours for the summer product.”

“Sizes have been trimmed to practical and useable dimensions that work very well with the western outfits worn by the young women of today. Florals, abstract prints and inspiration of craft have been the major indices used by the creative designers at Shingora,” he adds.

By launching the summer accessories collection, Shingora has increased its portfolio and had widened from being a winter products only brand to be an all-year round fashion accessories label.

Shingora products are currently available in nearly 400 retail outlets across India and the company plans to double its presence to 800 outlets by March 31, 2013. The firm plans to license important labels in several regions including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Talking about target customers of Shingora, Mr. Jain says, “The Shingora customer is usually women in the age group of 25-50 years and our products are designed to cater to the diverse fashion needs of this multi-faceted age group.”

Shingora's vision is to be recognized as an eminent brand in fashion accessories segment and increase the style quotient of its customers with unmatched quality and design.

Mr. Jain avers, “Shingora focuses to be the leader in the accessories segment by understanding and meeting the requirement of its customers and by fostering creativity and transcending fashion stereotypes.”
