DuPont & Invista settle indemnification issue

Jul '12
DuPont and Invista have signed a settlement agreement that resolves a lawsuit related to indemnification provisions of the 2004 agreement for DuPont's sale of its textiles and interiors business to subsidiaries of Koch Industries, Inc.

The matter was being tried in a bench trial that began June 4 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Invista is one of the world's largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers, primarily for nylon, spandex and polyester applications.  With a business presence in over 20 countries, Invista's global businesses deliver exceptional value for their customers through technology innovations, market insights and a powerful portfolio of global trademarks.

DuPont has been bringing world-class science and engineering to the global marketplace in the form of innovative products, materials, and services since 1802.  The company believes that by collaborating with customers, governments, NGOs, and thought leaders we can help find solutions to such global challenges as providing enough healthy food for people everywhere, decreasing dependence on fossil fuels, and protecting life and the environment.
