The Diplomats' National Costume and Oriental Fashion Show, which aims to highlight costumes from different cultures, saw a wonderful mixture of beautiful garments from nearly 91 countries.

Jointly organized by the Beijing Chaoyang Commission of Commerce and China International Friendship and Culture Festival Committee, the one-hour-long show served as a platform for promoting friendship and communication among different cultures.

The Beijing-held event was attended by several diplomats from nations like the United States, Spain, Belarus and Brazil.

The high-profile event presented a special traditional Chinese costume show, where the participating countries were invited to showcase peony flower and phoenix patterned qipao-like evening dresses and formal suits in red colour.

The qipao-like garments, designed by the famous Chinese fashion designers Zeng Dan, Liang Zi and Zhang Wei, included seamless weaving techniques to show various methods of silk crafting.

The Diplomats' National Costume and Oriental Fashion Show was held as a part of the 15th China International Friendship and Culture Festival, aimed at promoting cultural exchanges between different countries.
