In a bid to strengthen domestic and foreign retail system, Vietnam Textile Corporation (Vinatex) proposes to develop additional 28 textiles and garment superstores.
The development would include major cities and provinces across the nation with a total expansion of 28000 square metres, informed Vu Duc Giang, Vice Director, Vinatex.
To raise Corporation's domestic sales to 500 billion VND this year, Vinatex would shortly open two fashion centres for ready-made clothes, said Giang.
He also informed that the corporation has conducted a survey of retail stores abroad for Made-in-Vietnam goods and would cooperate with enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City to start stores in some European countries.
An investment of VND835 billion for expansion of retail chain in next five year is also under consideration, said Giang.
Development of 10 to 20 brand names for products of its partners is also on cards for the improvement of competitiveness of Made-in-Vietnam's textile and garment products trademarks and brands.
