Auto – visa issuance for woolen clothes stopped

Auto – visa issuance for women's woolen coat (category 435) is stopped, according to Inter Ministerial Notice of Trade and Industry ministries.

In first two months of 2006, the inter-ministry has granted auto – visa of category 435 twice, each with total quota of 31,500 Doz (first time) and 9,000 Doz (second time) in accordance with Notification No. 0050/TM-DM dated 24/2.

Both those issuance times are granted for five enterprises with security guaranteeing deposit. And the rest quota of the women's woolen coat is 1,916 Doz for the rest of 2006.

Another Notification No. 0008/TM-DM is now issued concerning auto – visa for men's woolen trousers (category 447), which has been issued for two enterprises with total quota of 12,785 Doz (42,398 Doz remained), the notice added.
According statistics released by the textile and garment regulating department – Trade Ministry, Vietnam's controlled quota textile and apparel export turnover, till by February 27, stands at US $ 296.9 million.

Categories like harmonized codes nos. 359-S/659-S (45.93 percent), Cat. 620 (34.71 percent), Cat. 342/642 (30.15 percent) etc. recorded the highest growth in terms of exports.
