PX & PTA prices fall in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices inched down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1050/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices rose and were offered in the range of RMB 7750/ton to RMB 7800/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1130/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international market at US$ 1105/ton and increased in the domestic market to € 900/ton.
 
MEG prices showed mixed trend in Asia. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton. 
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1460/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers stayed stable between US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, while discussion prices were between US$ 1410/ton and US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted at RMB 9975/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9550/ton to RMB 9600/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1485/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1385/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of RMB 10175/ton to RMB 10225/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 10550/ton, RMB 12200/ton, and RMB 11050/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY increased to US$ 1455/ton, US$ 1680/ton, and US$ 1515/ton, respectively.
