Iran participates at Algerian International Handicrafts Fair

Several Iranian firms involved in handicrafts business have participated at Algiers' International Handicrafts Exhibition held at Algiers from March 28 to April 4.
More than thirteen countries showcased their national handicrafts at international cultural event along with the host country.
The participating countries included Iran, Algeria, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Mali, Niger, Pakistan, Syria, Oman, Vietnam, Palestine and Burkina Faso.
Iranian handicrafts which attracted attention include fine hand woven Persian carpets, hand woven paintings of famous artists, jewelry, stone works, paintings on fine leathers, glassware and crystalware, and miniatures.
More than three hundred handicrafts manufacturers from Algeria's 48 provinces presented their creations, including traditional attires of different Algerian tribes, clay vessels, gilims, etc.
Algerian Statistics Organizationstates that some 200,000 Algerians are officially employed at firms that manufacture handicrafts exclusively.
