Pakistan Textile City invites investment from KCCI members

The Pakistan Textile City Ltd has invited investment from members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in order to establish more industrial units in the Textile City.

According to a statement issued by Pakistan Textile City Ltd, representatives from the Pakistan Textile City recently met with president of KCCI Mohammad Haroon Agar, in Karachi.

At the meeting, the KCCI president acknowledged the concept of the Textile City to develop an exclusive industrial estate in the country dedicated to value-added textile products.

Mr. Agar asserted on the need for more industrialization in the textile clusters for enhancing exports, which will ultimately uplift the nation’s economy.

Pakistan produces the world’s finest quality textile products due to which leading international brands in the world purchase products from Pakistan textile suppliers, he added.

Pakistan Textile City Limited Chief Executive Muhammad Hanif Kasbati said the Textile City spread over an area of 1250 acres of land in Eastern Industrial Zone of Port Qasim, will provide local and foreign investors with opportunities to effectively optimize their growth potential in this major industrial sector of Pakistan.

Mr. Kasbati also sought support from KCCI to disseminate the information of Pakistan Textile City to KCCI members to motivate their interest to establish more industrial units in the Textile City.

According to Mr. Kasbati, the Textile City provides a state-of-the-art environment for textile industry which can attract local and foreign investment, boost exports of value-added textiles, and create employment opportunities for 80,000 people.
