Emerging brands & designers to show at Clothes Show Live

The competition showcases why Britain is global leading in fashion design. The ten finalists will have the opportunity to display and sell their collections in the Graduate ASOS Marketplace for five days at this year’s Clothes Show Live, taking place at NEC Birmingham from 6-10 December.

As well as selling their debut collections in the Graduate ASOS Marketplace, situated in the Vision Village area of the show, the successful labels will also be given the opportunity to sell their collections online in their own boutique through the ASOS Marketplace.

The winning designers span womenswear, jewellery and accessories. Brands include young fashion womenswear brand Babes in the Wood, jewellery brand Belles Bejewelled, vintage inspired eponymous brand Emma Warren, contemporary brands Gabriella Piccolo and Joana Almagro, jewellery brand Kookii B, premium womenswear brand L.2.Mae, womenswear brand MajorLondon05, printed textile designer Rachel Edmond and 50’s inspired brand Silly Old Seadog.

Commenting on being chosen as one of the final ten designers, Emma Warren said: “Winning this competition gives me the perfect opportunity to get my designs known by a wider audience. I have been Clothes Show Live for many years so it’s just crazy to think that this year I will be retailing and showcasing my own designs.”

Joana Bustalino owner and founder of Joana Almagro added: “I will get huge exposure from winning this fantastic opportunity and I am really excited for the show.”

All of this year’s winners are hoping that showing their brands at Clothes Show Live will provide them with the necessary exposure to launch their collections on a much larger scale.

Gabriella Piccolo described being chosen as an “amazing opportunity” while Debbie Huntely of L.2.Mae added: “I wanted to really start making my label into a functional business and build a customer base and this opportunity enables me to be in front of a large audience and work with two amazing big companies in the industry.”

The Clothes Show Live’s Graduate ASOS Marketplace competition was judged by representatives from both Clothes Show Live and ASOS Marketplace in an intense day of judging at ASOS HQ in London.

Commenting on the winners Maryam Hamizadeh, Show Director for Clothes Show Live said: “We had an unprecedented number of entries this year which made picking just ten winners extremely difficult. All of those who have made it through should be immensely proud of their achievements and we look forward to working with them at Clothes Show Live this year.”

This is the perfect Launchpad for emerging designers and we are thrilled to be working with so many talented individuals.”

This year Clothes Show Live celebrates its 25th anniversary and  will take place over five days featuring catwalk shows and shopping from internationally acclaimed brands and high street labels, as well as showcasing work from up-and-coming independent designers.  With the UK's largest selection of fashion brands, hair and beauty demos, and tantalising fashion brasseries all under one roof, this is the ultimate fashion festival.
