In March, Pakistan's inflation drops to 6.91 percent compared to February's 8.05, however, whole year inflation stood at 8.25 percent.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) in March rose 0.23 percent over February 2006 and increased 6.91 percent compared to same period last year.
Mohammad Sohail, Director Research and equities at Jahangir Siddiqui and Co, said that drop in inflation was due to high base effect.
March 2006 CPI change comprises 4.17 percent rise in apparel, textile and footwear categories, 4.58 percent increase in furniture and equipment, 2.86 percent rise in cleaning, laundry and personal appearance.
