PremièreVision New York and Indigo New York:
Moving Forward, Première Vision New York and Indigo New York had joined forces for another successful combined trade show held on January 14 and 15, 2014. The Spring Summer '15 show offered the broadest selection of exhibitors in years. A wide array of buyers, from single-design firms to multi-billion dollar companies, filled New York's Metropolitan Pavilion and Altman Building.

The season's offer included 261 exhibitors from the world's finest mills, accessory companies and textile design studios. Turnout was strong, with a total of 4,223 registered visits, an increase of 5% over January 2013. According to Guglielmo Olearo, Première Vision's International Exhibitions Director, "The combined show's continual growth reflects a dynamic North American market, as well as Premiere Vision's thorough understanding of the market, ability to anticipate the market's needs and ongoing promotional efforts."

In addition to purchasing supplies, buyers and designers found inspiration via trend seminars, the fabric forum, the Indigo "Influences" wall and color cards. The show remains the place where fresh, innovative collections begin.

"Colorful, inspiring and busy" is how Nicole Macchio, Designer at LF USA, summed up her experience. Juanita Reid, Designer at ADJMI Apparel, described Indigo New York as "inspirational, trend-forward and diverse."

As seen in the forum and seminars, as well as the exhibitors' collections, the Spring Summer'15 season was about texture and subtlety. Color palettes were emphasized pastels, faded colors and golden yellows.

Trends for the season included sheer fabrics, iridescent fabrics, "unfinished" designs, soft graphics and glass accessories. Subtle ethnics and tie-dyed mix prints were among the highlights of print studio Keelergordon's (UK) collection. Mario Cucchetti (IT) remarked that his best-selling fabrics were technical, with embroidery, stitching and artwork.

One of the most valuable aspects of the show was that it provided fashion professionals the opportunity to connect. Gita Salem, Creative Director of Brikk and Owner of Gita Salem, found the atmosphere at Indigo New York "supportive, collaborative, and relaxed." Lyn Alessi of Alessi International (US) spoke of how meeting contacts at the show had helped her company "grow our business tremendously."
