Asian PX, PTA & PSF prices show downtrend

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1010/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1040/ton to US$ 1045/ton.
 
PTA prices inched down in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 780/ton to US$ 785/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 760/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market moved down and were quoted in the range of US$ 770/ton to US$ 775/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 5420/ton to RMB 5470/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1270ton to US$ 1275/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 1290/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 955/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 825/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 825/ton to US$ 830/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went down in the range of RMB 5850/ton to RMB 5900/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices went down and were assessed in the range of RMB 7875/ton to RMB 7925/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.
 
PSF prices dropped in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1190/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices decreased to US$ 1090/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8150/ton to RMB 8175/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY went down to RMB 8700/ton, RMB 10550/ton and RMB 8700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY went up to US$ 1185/ton and US$ 1445/ton, while FDY prices kept inert at US$ 1170/ton.
