KPIC begins commercial production of EG at new plant

Korea Petrochemical Industry Co Ltd (KPIC) has begun commercial production at its new ethylene glycol (EG)/ethylene oxide (EO) swing plant.
“The trial production was achieved in December 2014 and we have started commercial production this month,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
The new EG/EO swing plant is located in Onsan, South Korea, and it has capacity to produce 200,000 tons of EG per annum.
From its Ulsan and Onsan Petrochemical Industrial Complexes, KPIC operates vertical facilities that can handle all petrochemical production processes from naphtha cracking to synthetic resin production.
