John Mitchell joins Mitsui to promote PrimaLoft fabric

John Mitchell, performance textile industry veteran, has partnered with Mitsui Bussan Techno Products, a trading company specializing in textile and industrial materials, to develop and promote a line of performance knit textiles under its PrimaLoft Performance Fabric license.

John Mitchell said, “I look forward to developing product, marketing and business partnerships for this system of knit fabrics created to work seamlessly with PrimaLoft yarn and insulation products.”

Mitchell is well known for his years at Polartec and Dyersburg Fabrics, as well as for helping pioneer innovative branded technologies in the technical apparel, accessory, and footwear markets.

PrimaLoft, Inc., the world leader in comfort solutions, high-performance insulations and fabrics had collaborated with Mitsui Bussan Techno products Co., LTD to manufacture PrimaLoft Performance Fabric in early 2014. The PrimaLoft Performance Fabric collection consists of a broad range of technical knits primarily developed for base layer applications.

PrimaLoft insulation was originally developed for the US Army as a water-resistant synthetic alternative to down. (GK)
