Higher clothing and footwear prices resulted in Bruneians spending 0.2 percent more on their daily needs during the month of August.
Increased prices of ready-made clothing and accessories, materials for both male and females along with rise in prices of footwear created price hike of 3.5 percent in August.
The increase of 0.2 percent in Consumer Price Index (CPI) was also because of 1.2 percent increase in the cost of household items, service and operations due to higher furniture , crockery and cutlery prices.
