Investment plans for cotton sector of Coast Province

Djismun Kasri, Indonesia's Ambassador to Kenya, informed that the country is thinking over investment in cotton sector of the Coast Province. He said cotton products are imported from European nations, but investment in local cotton sector will enable the country to source commodities at low cost.
Kasri gave his comments during a meeting with Ali Shekue, acting Mombasa Mayor. He stated that Coast Province has enormous scope for agriculture which is still to be utilized.
He conveyed that he had interacted with locals residing in Mombasa, which helped him realize the massive potential of his country for putting money into agriculture. He added that he will visit Jakarta in December to persuade businessmen for investing in Coast Province.
