Textile may double its share in world market by 2010

Government has set up 25 integrated textile parks and if required more such textile will be setup.
According to Textiles Minister Shankersinh Vagela, textile export of India has registered substantial growth by touching US $23.8 billion by the end of July and country can double its share in world market by 2010.
India's textile exports have increased to $17.08 billion in 2005-06 from $14.03 in 2004-05 at a growth rate of 21.8 percent and during April and July this year textile exports amounted to $6.1 billion, a surge of 16.08 percent compared to same period of previous year, Vaghela said.
