Future Group appoints Kailash Bhatia as new fashion CEO

Retailer Future Group has appointed Kailash Bhatia as its new CEO, fashion and merchandising, who is assigned to form an integrated merchandising segment.
He is former CEO and MD of the retail giant ColorPlus Fashions.
Merchandising segment will serve enterprises like Pantaloons, Fashion Station and Big Bazaar. It will create new apparel brands.
Fashion section of the group accounts for an approximate turnover of Rs2,000 crores. It makes up 40 percent of Future Group's overall business at present.
Kailash Bhatia, with his prior experience, can help to achieve growth in fashion apparel segment. This could upturn the section's turnover to about Rs5,000 crores in 2007.
