Recently Jiangsu province received 110 million yuan of 2006 special funds from the state treasury to support 'out-going' textile enterprises.
It is learned that the special funds are primarily determined by the proportion of the textile and garment exports and overseas investment in 2005.
As a leading textile and garment province, Jiangsu's textile and garment industries have obvious advantages in domestic market. From January to October this year, the province's textile and garment exports stood US $18.32 billion, an increase of 16.6 percent over the same period last year, with export scale ranking the third place in the country.
Meanwhile, an increasing number of textile and garment enterprises invest and set up factories outside China to expand their overseas market shares. As of the end of November, in the province, there were 12 out-going textile enterprises with $43 million of investment from China, and 55 garment enterprises to invest abroad with Chinese amount of $60.94 million.
The provincial ministry of finance and foreign trade bureau has constituted 'the management of support funds to out-going textile enterprises in Jiangsu province'.
