SMEs account for 70% of total import-export value, SDRC report

State Development and Reform Commission (SDRC) Deputy Director, Qian, recently said in a meeting that currently the foreign trade amount of SMEs accounts for 68.5 percent of the total amount of China's imports and exports.

Small and medium-sized enterprises have extended their cooperative regions from Hong Kong / Macao to US, Germany, Italy and other developed countries and regions.

At present, the whole world is focusing on China's economic rise. The huge number of SMEs is an inexhaustible motive force for China's rapid economic development.

As of last year, China had more than 30,000 enterprises engaging in transnational investment and operation in over 200 countries and regions. SMEs accounts for more than 80 percent.

According to Chinese government, in '11th Five-year Plan' period, China will continue to work out policies supporting SMEs to cooperate with foreign enterprises, and increase funds encouraging SMEs to achieve cooperation with foreign companies.
