Contracts worth $59.078mn signed at Turkmen exchange

Production from Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries was in high demand last week amongst the 28 contracts inked at Turkmen Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange. Foreign currency contracts totaled to US $59.078 million.
Traders from Seychelles purchased cotton-wool while those from Kazakhstan bought washed Karakul wool. Lint-cotton was bought by Russian, Swiss, British and Pakistani businessmen.
Contracts made in national currency on deposits were worth over Manat16.252 billion. Merchants from Turkey and BVI bought grey fabric, Pakistani traders purchased raw silk, while US traders bought cotton wool for furniture and clothing.
Merchants from Iran used foreign currency to buy polypropylene. Traders from BVI and Afghanistan bought aviation kerosene TC-1, whereas UAE businessmen purchased lamp oil KO-20 and gasoline A-92.
Traders from US, Russia and India purchased variety of knitwear. Cotton yarn and purified waste of cotton-spinning was bought by Azeri businessmen along with them.
