South Korean firm, Samsung Engineering Company, has landed contract to build and expand chemical plants in India and Thailand whose combined contract is valued at 301 million dollar.
The company has been given the contract to build the plant in Panipat which will have the capacity to produce 320,000 tons of ethylene glycol.
Indian Oil Corp has given the initial orders worth 256 million dollar to build the plants taking 33 months to complete, Samsung Engineering said on Tuesday. Final signing of the contracts will be made at later dates.
