Textiles, found at Chehrabad Salt Mine in the Hamzehlu region near Zanjan, are being evaluated by group of experts from Zanjan University and the Zanjan Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicraft Department (ZCHTHD).

From the mine, about 300 pieces of fabrics and five salt men of Achaemenid and Parthian eras have been discovered. The experts are currently engaged in the study of artifacts.

Some of the fabrics were having various designs and some of them were one meter in length.

During this project, experts will closely study weave, colour and motifs of fabrics. These fabrics are considered to be rare in ancient sites.
