NY Fashion Week glitters in style

In the ongoing New York fashion week, many celebrities and designers are spotted all over the place. Many of the collections presented by these models were able to attract attention of the world.

One of the much talked about collection was of designer Naeem Khan. Some of his designs also had trait Baroque-inspired patent leather ornaments. His collection Fall 2007 was fully inspired by his work in the film 'Dreamgirls'.

Khan was born in India and nurtured his knowledge of textiles growing up under the watchful eyes of his grandfather and father. As a teenager, Khan moved to US and apprenticed for Halston. Before launching Naeem Khan in 2003, he went on design casual separates and cocktail dress under the Riazee label.

On Sunday, Lela Rose also displayed fall collection at Bryant Park. She mainly concentrated on elegance and comfort in her collection.

Texas native Lela Rose graduated from the University of Colorado in 1991. Rose then headed to New York to study fashion design at Parsons School of Design where she graduated in 1993.

Her education continued under the tutelage of Christian Francis Roth, as Design Assistant and soon thereafter, with Richard Tyler as Design Assistant and Fabric Buyer. Rose worked with Tyler for three years in Los Angeles and New York.
