Smelly shoes!! Smelly Clothes!! No more embarrassing moments.
Now you can say good bye to your smelly shoes and clothes.
Researchers are coming up with the ways to infuse permanent scents in the textile of your sports shoes which will be able to hide the nauseating stench.
A research team, comprised of Philadelphia University's John Pierce, Associate Professor of engineering Fernando Tovia and Assistant Professor Natalie Weathers, is trying to find out a new method for implanting the scent directly into the fibres.
Pierce with his team has developed an alternative method of infusing scent and colour into the yarn at the time it is made.
Recently the researchers have woven 100 scarves out of these fabrics with the smell of lavender and citrus in purple, white and orange colours. If this project proves to be a success then pleasant-smelling blankets and sheets can also be introduced in the market.
