The Textile Institute will organize 85th Textile Institute World Conference in Sri Lanka. The conference will take place during 1st March to 3rd March, 2007.
Message from Chairman Organizing Committee The tiny island of Sri Lanka in the Indian sub Continent will be hosting the 85th Textile Institute World Conference in March 2007.
The enthusiasm and the support shown to this event by professionals, researchers and industrialists from many parts of the world has been overwhelming and has gone far beyond the expectations of the conference organisers and we are very appreciative of this encouragement.
Nearly 200 papers from over 25 countries have been received so far and despite the lapsed deadline the flow of papers to the Conference Secretariat has not stopped.
This has caused a problem to us as we find it impossible to accommodate all the papers as oral presentations. Reluctantly, due to time constraints we have had to move some papers to the poster section. As a result, the poster display at the conference will also be of a high standard.
Two Sri Lankan industry champions who are also well known global players will make presentations in the plenary sessions which will be further strengthened by some eminent world figures who will attend the conference as guests of honour and make keynote presentations.
The conference organising committee has worked tirelessly for 18 moths to ensure that each and every delegate and delegate's spouse are looked after and cared for in a manner that will linger in their memories for years to come.
