Functional fabrics to play vital role in 2007

Demand for fabrics is rapidly increasing in the global market. Fabrics having various properties is entering market day-by-day.
On one hand, sales of extinction fabric like full dull nylon taffeta, semi dull nylon taffeta, full dull taslon etc. are mainstream products in 2007.
Last year, sales of these products witnessed an upward trend, but, growth was mainly in high-end apparel market.
On other hand, functional fabrics were able to capture more and more textile and garment markets.
Some of the functional fabrics prominent in the global market are as follows:-
Thin silk fabrics: composite fiber is used for production of this fiber. It touches soft, comfortable to wear and more preferred by young and middle-aged women.
Stretch Fabrics: it stretches in all four directions compared to normal fabrics that will often stretch to a small extent. It is mainly used in sportswear.
