The annual exhibition of Guru Nanak Girls College Ensemble 2007 got underway today with President of college management committee Gurbir Singh and Principal Dr Charanjit Kaur Mahal inaugurating the exhibition.
A wide range of salwar suits, kurtis, skirts, stoles, dupattas in silk, brocades, chiffon and georgettes embroidered with intricate beadwork, stone work, and sequins was unveiled by the students.
Students also put on display skirts designed specially for Indian girls available in vibrant shades like tourquoise, mauve, pink, black, brown.
These skirt can also be worn with kurtis and designer tops.
Exhibition has also on display trousers for men and women including formal wear, semiformal wear and casual wear.
Apparel product like sweaters, shirts, accessories like belts, purses, necklaces and earrings were also showcased.
Bedcovers and cushions using screen-printing and smoking were available in a wide range.
The efforts of students and faculty members who guided them were appreciated by President Gurbir Singh and Principal Dr Charanjit Kaur Mahal.
