The Sewing Machine Traders Association (Singapore) was founded in 1983 and this year marks its 21st anniversary. The association was formed to provide a platform for exchange of information and views among garment equipment traders in Singapore, and also to enhance good relations among traders in the sewing machine trade. The SMTAS member size has grown tremendously over the years.
From 21 traders in the Association in 1983, the association now has more than 50 members whose profiles include well-established international renowned manufacturers, traders of sewing machines and garments related equipments and accessories which represents the major manufacturers in the region.
