Springs Global sells specialty fabric business

Springs Creative Products Group's Springs Global has sold its South Carolina specialty fabric business to Derick Close.
Close, who has been managing this unit for nearly six years, said, "We will continue to operate where we are presently located and will maintain the business name as well."
Close's sister, Crandall Bowles, is co-CEO of the company. The details of the deal remain undisclosed.
The unit has about 160 workers in and around Rock Hill, near the Fort Mill headquarters for Springs Global's US subsidiary.
Company merged last year with its Brazilian textile-making partner, Coteminas.
