In addition to the Dangerous Liaisons film already mentioned and based on the novel by Choderlos de Laclos, precious damask and lampas fabrics designed and produced by Rubelli can be admired in films such as Harry Potter, Valmont, Elizabeth, the latest version of Casanova (released in February 2006) and many period productions by the Italian RAI and Mediaset networks.
Enthusiasts can see some of the costumes designed by Milena Canonero for Marie Antoinette at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Museum in Los Angeles, where they are to be put on show until April 5th.
The firm RUBELLI, founded in 1858, produces hand-made fabrics using traditional techniques as well as highly sophisticated textiles.
