Corporate sector, NGOS & Govt should come together for nation development

Inclusive growth has become fundamentally important for all governments and if the growth is inclusive, it will be sustainable said Princess Anne, HRH The Princess Royal at the valedictory session of Tenth Commonwealth Study Conference (CSC) on 'Working Together for Inclusive Growth and Development' organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Commonwealth Study Group.

She said that, the study groups have made a cooperative contribution which has blended into the judgment and understanding of the countries like India and Malaysia. The study groups, she mentioned should follow-up with their learning and as future leaders should contribute to the implementation of their studies in the inclusive growth and development of the commonwealth nations.

Development is not always catching up with people who actually need it and that is a serious challenge for India, said Ms. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi. India has managed to put varied diversity in the string of democracy and has moved to 21st century with better confidence than ever, said Ms. Dikshit. The chief minister said that the corporate sector, NGOs and the government have to come together to understand each other as well as specific need of development.

She mentioned that the biggest challenge for India is the administrative system and to enable growth, the bureaucracy has to shed off its anarchic system and need to be transparent. We also need to look at the environmental balance while keeping up with the infrastructural development, said the chief minister.
