According to Chinese customs statistics, wool textile and apparel exports hit US $7.351 billion in January-December 2006, representing an increase of 30.37 percent.
Wool exports accounted for five percent of the total value of textile and apparel exports, which stood at $147.085 billion.
In terms of imports, China's wool textile and apparel imports amounted to $969 million during the period.
The figure is about 2.60 percent less than the previous year, accounting for 5.37 percent of the total value of $18.051 billion in textile and apparel imports.
