Plastic shoes earn big exports turnover in Jan-Feb 2007

During the first two months 2007, exports turnover of plastic sports shoes and plastic shoes recorded strong growth at 113.94 percent and 88.66 percent compared to same period last year, generating $47.5 million and 45.57 million respectively, MOT revealed.
As per exports volume, the figures of plastic sports shoes were 17.62 million pairs, a year–on–year rise of 79.34 percent, while it was 15 million pairs of plastic shoes, which grew at 62.05 percent.
During this period the shoes were exported in 65 countries across the world.
It is worth mentioning that Vietnam exported only 40 pairs of plastic sports shoes in 2006 to American Samoa, but the figures of first two months in 2007 rose to 61.3 thousand pairs, bringing US $610.7 thousand of earning.
